Vedanta Ltd Q2 PAT increases 5-fold to Rs4,615cr on massive EBIT boost to aluminium segment

Vedanta Ltd reported 44.43% growth in total revenues for the Sep-21 quarter on consolidated basis at Rs30,048cr


Vedanta Ltd reported 44.43% growth in total revenues for the Sep-21 quarter on consolidated basis at Rs30,048cr. The revenues were up by 6.91% on a sequential basis compared to Rs28,105cr revenues in the Jun-21 quarter.

Aluminium revenues doubled on the back of volumes and price at Rs12,119cr. Oil & gas, copper and iron ore also saw sharp growth in revenues even as revenues from silver was lower in India and Zinc was about 15% higher on a yoy basis. Half year sales were up 59.4% yoy at Rs58,153cr.

The consolidated Profit after tax (PAT) for the Sep-21 quarter was up 451% at Rs4,615cr on the back of aluminium EBIT growing sharply from Rs1,208cr to Rs4,142cr on the back of robust growth in volumes and prices.


STOCK OUTLOOK

Stock can test 348 - 354 in short term.
